Sage is another powerful medicinal plant, known and valued by many ancient civilisations. Leaving aside the belief that it prolongs life and even brings immortality, it has been proven to help alleviate many ailments. It is also known as a remarkable energy purifier.

Sage is hand-picked in the unspoilt nature of Dalmatia. Dalmatia is known to be home to some of the best sage in the world.  It is especially beautiful in May, when whole fields bloom in its pale purple colour. It grows among rocks in areas with little soil. As with most herbs, the more difficult the conditions and the more difficult the struggle to survive, the stronger the plant and its inner, healing power.

When the leaves are touched and rolled between the fingers, an unmistakable scent is left on them. Slightly perfumed, very aromatic and balsamic, yet delicate and sweet. Despite the clear herbal note, it is not pungent, as is often the case with some other herbs and also with sages from other areas. Dalmatian sage really has a hard time finding a rival among sages. The essential oil in the plant is not so scarce, being 1,5-2,5%. The colour of the essential oil is yellowish.
