Exclusive workshop on the hidden therapeutic powers of roses
The therapeutic powers of roses have been known to mankind for millennia. The key to their perception lies in the scent of the rose. It is not enough to know the chemical composition of the rose's active substances and their action on our bodies, only the conscious use of its unique scent can make it a therapeutic whole.
In ancient times, roses were considered a panacea – a universal cure for all ills. Today, many people smile at this, but modern research has largely backed up the old knowledge. The realisation that roses have the ability to harmonise various bodily processes has put their potential in a whole new light. Alone or as an indispensable part of various herbal mixtures, they can speed up or slow down different processes, bringing the body back into the harmonious balance we call health.
The rose is the most celebrated herb of all time. Many peoples of the world associate it with love, heartfulness and mysticism. Such can also be the effects of the rose on our emotions. Holistic healers teach that problems of the physical body begin with unbalanced emotions, subconscious fears and inharmonious lifestyles. If we combine this with the harmonising effects of the rose, we quickly realise that in the rose we have an alchemical helper par excellence for many mild and less mild health problems.
Comments of the participants
This past Saturday I took part in a Rose&Alchemy workshop organized by Eywineo Essential Oils. The workshop took place in Eva Nedelko garden and touched upon women’s energy, heart chakras and of course the queen of all flowers, the rose. Our first task was to observe closely how blossom shapes differ in rose varieties. This was followed by a discussion on physical, esoteric and scent characteristics of this high frequency flower. Inspirational on all levels I already look forward to being inspired by roses and to create something truly delicate. – Desiree
Thank you for everything, it was wonderful! – Maja
Now I understand how it can be when you live the life of a rose. – Brigita
