MELISSA ESSENTIAL OIL – LIGHT IN THE TIME OF UNCERTAINTY

I am impressed over and over when I observe beneficial properties of essential oils. There is much to learn from theory, but when you see theoretical knowledge working in practice, you never forget it.

In our most recent workshop, we worked with melissa essential oil. Most of the participants did not know the oil. Because of the characteristic citrus scent, they even thought it was lemon oil. Through an in-depth experience of smell, we observed the influence of the essential oil on our well-being, emotions, mood. The longer we associated with its scent, the more layers of its action we discovered. After about half an hour, the first participant got up from her chair, unable to remain sitting. She relaxed so deeply that she had to lie down and immediately fell asleep. A few minutes later, she was followed by the next participant and another after her. ‘Just what was going on’, I asked myself, ‘a quarter of the group was asleep’! After about 20 minutes of sleep, all three participants woke up, completely refreshed and deeply rested.

I experienced a live demonstration of the action of melissa essential oil ‘par excellence’! It is deeply calming, relaxing and what is very important in this time full of fear – it helps to overcome the uncertainty,  insecurities and insomnia that develop from fear. No special knowledge is required, nor a large amount of oil. Just a quiet corner, a relaxed atmosphere and the scent of essential oil. A drop on a clean cotton pad is more than enough. Of course, the oil must be high quality, completely natural, full of energy.
