ESSENTIAL OILS AND ENERGY CLEANSING OF HOME

The New Year is a time when we traditionally start anew – we make new-year promises, write plans, start new projects. An old tradition of this time is energy cleaning of premises. We thus cleanse the space of old and stagnant energies that hinder us from new beginnings.

Our ancestors traditionally did this with dried herbs rolled into rolls, which they lit and smoked the rooms with their smoke. A similar ceremonial was used by ancient peoples on all continents. In the east, the use of incense sticks or incense was more widespread, in the west dried herbs were thrown into the fire. The purpose was the same everywhere, and they used herbs with cleansing power that they had locally on hand. In our country, these were sage, juniper, thyme, laurel and any other home-grown herb.
The method of cleaning the room with essential oils is a bit more modern, but the content is the same. In the ritual of energy cleansing, the herbal scroll or incense is replaced with essential oil. Light a candle in the evaporator, put a few drops of the selected oil in the water, wait a few minutes for the oil to start evaporating and clean the room with it. Of course, the essential oil must be completely natural, pure and preferably locally grown. The choice of essential oil can be individual, we can also use mixtures of oils. Among the strongest cleansing oils are the essential oil of sage, thuja, juniper, depending on the purpose, you can also add other oils.
Try it for yourself and let the essential oils help you in your new beginnings!
