Sage is picked by hand in the Herb garden at Vida’s. It grows much taller than Dalmatian sage, has larger leaves and flowers.

When touching leaves by hand and rubbing them, a unique smell impregnates fingers: very aromatic and balsamic, yet gentle and sweet, and much softer than that of Dalmatian sage. An appropriate choice for those who are looking for very gentle sage essential oil! Its earthy taste comes as a great contrast to sweet or sour flavors.

The essential oil in the plant is quite substantial, 1.5 – 2.5%. The color of the oil is yellowish.
